The object of the Japanese game which dates back to the 16th century is to both wear the amusing padded sumo suits, compulsary neck braces & of course the helmets which are made to look like the traditional sumo wrestlers hair style. Whilst both challengers known as Rikishi's stand in the circle facing each other & after bowing to each other once the gong has been striked it's the first person to be pulled or pushed out of the marked circle using any means possible or the first to be tripped or thrown to the floor on any part of the padded tournament mat to loose. And the for the best part is to jump on top of them, no question of who the winner is!
